Us
‘About This Time Next Year’ is the first non-denominational
Christian organisation established, to tackle infertility from both
the medical and spiritual point of view.
The main goal of this organisation is to provide extensive, expository
and educative information to couples suffering from this condition
irrespective of race, colour or gender. Thereby, bringing joy into
homes that would have remained childless and smile to faces that
would have remained sorrowful. In addition, we have also incorporated
into our programme medical issues relating to pre-conception, post-conception
and childhood.
OUR NAME
‘About This Time Next Year’ – Was taken from
2 Kings 4 v16-17
Then he said, “About
this time next year you shall embrace a son.”
And she said, “No, my lord. Man of God, do not lie to your
maidservant!”
But the woman conceived, and bore a son when the appointed time
had come, of which Elisha had told her.
OUR VISION –
Is to put smiles on people’s faces and see infertile couples
embrace their own children.
OUR AIM -
Our aim is to help, inform and support people with issues around
infertility and conception.
We hope to achieve our aim through the following forums and media:
AWARENESS CONFERENCES
About This Time Next Year organises conferences where infertility
issues are discussed extensively. Fertility experts, gynaecologists,
obstetrician, pediatricians, dentists, pharmacists and medical personnel’s
deliver lectures and seminar on various medical issues relating
to the conference. People also have the opportunity to have free
consultations with our in house fertility experts, medical personnel
or spiritual counseling with members of the clergy depending on
their choice. The counseling does not end at the conference, but
people are allowed to come for free counseling as many times as
they wish.
FREE PUBLICATION
As part of our plan we intend to publish free magazines on bi-annual
basis. This magazine will deal with issues relating to conception,
pregnancy, childbirth and early childhood. This magazine will be
published in different languages and sent to countries around the
world. It will serve couples in remote parts of the world that have
no knowledge into the cause of their infertility and the treatment
available.
CHARITY EVENTS
We plan to hold charity events in several parts of England.
Money raised from these events will be used to sponsor research
into infertility issues, help special baby units, and distribute
leaflets and new letters translated into different languages.
INFERTILTY HOSPITAL
One of our goal is to build a family / fertility hospital, to help
infertile couples.
PERSONNEL
About This Time Next Year has on its board, qualified infertility
experts Gynaecologists, obstetrician, pediatricians, dentists, nutritionists,
midwives and medical personnel. In order to handle the spiritual
aspects to those who wish, we have on board Pastors and other members
of the clergy.
LOCATION
We are located in London, but we hope to have offices in other parts
of England in the future so as to reach out to the majority, we
also intend that “About This Time Next Year” will spread
to different parts of the world in the future so as to reach out
to people looking forward to embracing their own child
